Reviews
- No weak tracks, all strong [now "classic"] selections showcasing early TROPE essentials that have become both pricey and difficult to collect when acquiring the original vinyl versions. Massive double-CD anthology illustrates just how forward-thinking and ahead of the times this label actually was; almost ALL of the tracks on this compilation still hold up well, and work well for DJ's spinning dark techno, minimal synth, electro industrial, and rhythmic noise to young trendy clubbers in 2017-- especially in Los Angeles' alternative underground scene as purveyed by Coaxial, Handbag Factory, The Lash, Vacation Vinyl, Das Bunker, Cloak & Dagger, Complex (r.i.p.), Psychotechnics, etc.. Something here for everybody, this 2CD is definitely worthwhile.
