Apostate and piece of the sky could each easily fit on one side of vinyl. Sorta seems like quite a bit is compromising (a pretty good tracklist and some tracks getting split) just to have these songs on vinyl

The Seer is great, but if Gira could approach his material with a less is more attitude, it could have been a masterpiece//

my second record has the same label (side four) on each side but the vinyl has all the songs from side three and four, the other two vinyls have the correct labels. I don't mind, I put a little sticker on the side three label otherwise the vinyls are almost perfect

Honestly great pressing. Sure the setup is better in the CD but I don't mind the tracklisting in the vinyl version really. Best Swans album ever

This is a great pressing, but honestly this is an album it's better to listen to on CD. On the CD the track listing is the original way M Gira wanted it, the songs are complete, and of course the sound is still stellar (virtually everything today is digitally recorded, so the argument that the vinyl is more faithful to the original recording isn't applicable here). But if you don't mind the weird song order and songs chopped in half, this pressing, like all the other recent Swans albums, is really good.

I defiantly was a bit put off by the out of order tracks at first and it led me to not picking this one up for a while, but I'm glad i did, vinyl is really clean and sounds amazing (as to be expected of most YGR pressings). And while there is some debate about the mixed up track listing, i dont think it effects the listening experience as much as some led on, and i do appreciate the length they went to to get it on vinyl.

I'm not sure how I feel about the track layout on this version. While the cuts are often strategically placed during the longer songs, the longer songs are usually split in half, which can be jarring when you are in the mood of the song. Overall the pressing is excellent, there are no problems with surface noise or off center pressings.

Definitely a long shot, but just got to my copy after almost three years since I bought it and I have no disc 1, disc 2 twice, and disc 3 once. maybe someone out there has disc 1 twice and no disc 2? Get in touch

it sounds pretty good, clean it before you listen though, there were a couple small pops on my first play. jacket feels sturdy, inner sleeves are clear plastic. the track splitting is a bit annoying but it doesn't ruin it, still a great album.

does anyone know if there was a new young god pressing in 2020? i picked this up today from my local record store, which I've never seen this album at before, and it's back in stock on young god's website as well.
