Reviews
- i have been a huge tank fan since 1982 now and i collect all the various sleeves of especially the first album as the artwork is altered on the german, french and dutch pressings of that 1982 classic and lets not forget the spain edition that is nice to, anyway i first bought this box set in cd format back in 07 when this came out and as much as i love vinyl i suggest getting the cd version as you get live shows and a lot more music and sadly a bad quality dvd with it, this review for the 6 lp box set wich i just bought last month was sadly not what i expected, first off metal mind did a rather cheap job on this box set, the lp sleeves are very thin they are like standard uk 12 inch sleeves wich makes it very easy to get seam splits, the yellow color vinyl is great and sounds awesome as it is 180 gram and the booklet is just flawless with vintage photos from 1981 through 2002, had metal mind just placed these 6 lps in reissued regular lp sleeves all would be fine, still i do not regret buying this as ive been a tank fan for 33 years now and as an american not many of us yanks can say we saw tank live, well I DID i saw them in late may and early june 1985 when tank came over here for the honour and blood album and did a very small budget east coast only tour, they sure where 2 shows i still remember and talk about all the time to this day, i wish the REAL TANK with algy could finally come back 30 years later but i guess it sadly is not meant to be, anyway this is a very good box set but sadly not a great one, even if you are an audiophile person i still reccomend the 9 cd set as it sounds just as good as the lps and once again YOU GET MORE TANK MUSIC!!!! for the lps i reccomend you hunt down the japan pressings of the first 4 tank records from filth hounds through honour and blood as they sound the best, i have had them for years....
