- Don't take me wrong with what i will say ,
But this album "60 Seconds Wipeout" is the commercial side from ATR . To me they lost it there their quality and sounds/noise has decreased and falls flat . The only track worth is "Revolution Action" surely for the weird TV Video Clip .
Of course they changed of direction and evolved but to me this album is more there for a younger audiance than being pure mature and adult like their previous work ( kinda same faith happened with The Prodigy they offered great tunes as their downfall was after "The Fat of the Land" album then they've become too commercial mainstream by offering nothing "unique" anymore ) .
Also by the loss from Hanin Elias , ATR isn't the same anymore . Nic Endo is great but she isn't Hanin that was more crazy, open, weird .
For me here stops the DHR adventure sadly . - 5 / 5
By the time Atari Teenage Riot put this album out, they had already released two albums and a handful of other tracks on singles/eps. But none of their previous work matched the richness of this album. With the edition of Nic Endo to their crew, 60 Second Wipeout became a rich multi-layered production and mixture of industrial, noise, punk vocals and electronic beats. If Atari Teenage Riot was capable of more it would be incredible, but the beauty of this record seems hard to top. It is a major high-point in Alec Empire's artistic career and a masterpiece. If any record had the potential to bring the Digital Hardcore sound to the masses it was this one, it is a shame the movement did not pick up much momentum.
Trivia : Alec Empire stated an Atari Teenage Riot album was recorded after this one, but was apathetic about releasing it.
