- I'm into lo-fi music, but I have never played out 'Really Injected' in a room with people or in a DJ mix - it's just so raw. Tried remastering it once, but still sounded raw af. Great groove though!
My copy -scanned above- has different stamper rings than those seen on youtube and other places. Looks like the record was produced using two different masters.- sesame groove is sampling Kool & The Gang - "Open Sesame" (1976) https://www.discogs.com/Kool-The-Gang-Open-Sesame/release/516797
- really injected is sampling the sounds of Trussel (1980) https://www.discogs.com/Trussel-Love-Injection/release/123356
It's nice to keep the spirit of the original mix' Dove but a real remaster would be welcome as well. I am actually re-doing Illusions in Ableton to make it more 'actual' but not compressed and dynamics as hell, just giving it more drive to it like adding a solid bassdrum kick and some extra background hihats, it wouldn't be that hard for you guys if you have the masters of these recordings and make them more 'actual' but not clean if you know what I mean :)
