Show All 16 Reviews- I've not yet heard this pressing, but keep in mind, this was a fully digital recording to begin with (which is more than fine with me), but analog purists will swear this was an analog recording.
Also--this is MFSL's Silver Label, meaning they were not able to access the OG tapes. - Anyone want to hazard a guess as to wether this TFF album is one of the ‘digitized’ MOFI pressings? They started doing this in 2011 soooo…
- I’ve always loved this album, and this pressing is so good. My copy has no surface noise, so amazing.
- Whoa! So many details I missed from earlier pressings. This is absolutely fantastic. Songs from the big chair is probably a better record overall, but this is a clear example of how a quality pressing can elevate the music to another level.
- Wow, wow, fucking wow! I own about 50 MoFi releases and this one is right up there. I think Songs from the Big Chair is the better record, musically-speaking, but this pressing of Seeds just knocks it out of the park. Truly a joy to listen and highly recommended if you can find a pristine or sealed copy, don't worry about the price, it will be worth it!
- Whoa this Mofi release sounds HUGE!!! What a joy to listen to this album in this way. The production of this album seems to have a million layers, and on this particular release everything unravels because everything has its place on this massive 3 dimensional soundstage. Amazing.
- For most bands, an album like TFF's "Songs from the Big Chair" would have been an unimaginable career peak. Practically half the album became hit singles. Despite how great "SFTBC" is however, Roland Orzabal proved that he had much greater ambitions with their follow-up "The Seeds of Love." Though it paled in comparison to "Big Chair" in terms of sales, I think it remains to be their magnum opus. An excellent set of songs that rival "Big Chair" in catchiness, but more importantly trounce them in terms of instrumental arrangement, production and complexity. Orzabal also delivers the best set of vocal performances of his career. After numerous repeated listens, this record still gives me goosebumps every time I put it on.
- Sounds incredible even on a low-end setup. Seems I got lucky with my copy, it has no skips and no noticeable surface noise. Even though I got it on a clearance sale...
- I'm on my second copy and it sounds great to me.
I had issues with the first one like others pointed out
