- Well constructed mix that provides a good snapshot into a constantly moving/evolving techno scene.
I had this mix on repeat for the first month I got it and still go back for a re-listen now every once in a while.
Standout tracks for me as follows :-
Gemini, Terraforming, Few Mysteries Solved In A Year Of Contract, Are You There, Panna Cotta, When The Sun...
Definitely worth picking up a copy and taking a listen... :) :) - Edited 11 years agoIt doesn't quite build and breakdown the way Berghain 04 did, which I feel remains the better mix compilation put out by Ben Klock. It meanders around from dubby stuff like "Terraforming" to straight up minimal techno like "Chord Principle" to a quasi-jungle track "Are you Ready?" to tech house "Never Grow Old" - the progression needs significant work.
Take it from me, this is not Ben Klock's brightest moment - go look at Berghain 04 instead. I suspect Klock tried to make this CD a compilation of rare, old, and unreleased music and in doing so sacrificed the quality of the "journey" that he regularly takes his listeners on in his DJ sets.
