- A few comments about the boot, but no comments about the track itself? Killer Leftfield Roots on a sparse & heavily phased Rhythm Track. Can’t speak on the quality of the recent boot but the original is ridiculously bass heavy & built for Soundsystem business…Feelin’ very lucky to have stumbled across an Original many years back…
- Edited 6 years ago1augustus, there's bigger fish to fry in championing ways to support artists as opposed to shouting about a small time bootleg that may only have 100-200 copies pressed. It's even common for legit releases to not pass royalities onto the artists, be it intentionally or because they just can't locate them... let alone performance royalties from YouTube, online mixes, compilations, radio play, where any earnings just 'evaporate'. Johnny Jones died in October, 2003. If this is such a big issue for you, why don't you, Canabistiva16 and JoeSafe track down who owns his estate and then persuade the presser of this bootleg to pass a percentage of profits on. On a positive note, I had never heard of this track until I discovered the bootleg. Now I am keen to hear more.... so sometimes bootlegs open up the music of artists that have been lost through time.
