I just purchased a non-RL press. While I prefer a true plate pressing, I won’t be upset if this is truly cut from a DAT of the original plates. I have no doubt it will still sound amazing…

Like someone commented, this pressing is a monster!
No joke, it includes one of the best cuts ever.
Morello's guitar parts hit you on the brain!
I have a strong VG copy, which still plays more than excellent.
I also had a chance to compare this pressing with the reissue of Vlado Meller's cut.
Unfortunately, Meller's cut does not reflect this beautiful album's soul.

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a copy of this pressing from a store in Canada that got it as part of a larger collection buy. Lucky for me, it wasn't "too steep" in terms of price and it looks like it was barely ever played. My copy is an RL pressing as indicated by the runout on Side A.

I have been curious for years about the hype surrounding these Ludwig pressings. As soon as the music came in on Bombtrack I knew it was special. I own another copy of this record and I will say that although the other pressing sounds good, it doesn't have nearly the amount of weight or power behind the music like this original does. The instrument separation is unlike any other rock/metal record I own and there is barely any inner groove distortion, which is great considering how close it is cut to the center (currently running the Rega Exact cartridge).

If you are a fan of this album and have the opportunity to purchase a clean copy this record, you will not be disappointed. This pressing truly blew away my expectations.

I have owned both the 1992 US and Europe pressings of this record. It appears Robert Ludwig cut the lacquer on both pressings. For some reason, the Europe press blows the US press out of the water. The US press sounds like it’s lacking something fidelity wise, like it should be on 2xLP. The Europe LP is monster.

Please share if you know the difference between the two variants of this pressing, one with the RL and the other without - from a sound perspective? Thanks.
