- Note the typo on the label where Cathal Coughlan's band are erroneously billed as The Fatima Gardens! This was a truly brilliant eclectic oddball compilation featuring so many great emerging new names on the Manchester scene as well as some old hands (Ted Chippington, Jane). A totally unique record and still one of the very greatest multi-artist compilations ever released in my view.
- I found this to be quite an interesting and strange record. I was alerted to it's existence after I heard the Jane track played on NTS. I then found it for sale cheaply in the first record shop I went to, leading me to believe it might be easy to obtain in the UK. There are a variety of styles and approaches on offer here, some more successful than others, but even the stuff I don't particularly 'like' has elements to intrigue or entertain. Does anyone know more about the record, or Edward Barton's other work? Is the Jane collab LP worth a go?
