Notes

Mastered by Bud Pressner - Gary, IN

No label name is printed on the release, but it is listed in the official Alleviated Music/Records discography.

Contains both original sessions. Side A is the original full-length instrumental, which was later released on the DJ International 12" as the "Instrumental Mix", but on that release it was faded early and has the channels swapped. The B-side dub version is the one included on The Loft box set (incorrectly listed as from the DJ International release).

Barcode and Other Identifiers

  • Matrix / Runout (Side A, etched): BP - 3633 - A II [Roman Numeral Extended Font] ´BP´

The first deep house music. This song is a very important piece in the history of house music. They should do a reissue on the Alleviated Records one.

My copy reveals dark brown translucent coloured vinyl when held up to the light.

Really, why so expensive? I have this record and was looking to sell to a local wax trax. Is that a realistic price to ask for? This is the most expensive EP so far that I have seen.

Larry Heard self-distributed this and sold around 20,000 copies. He decided to sign with Trax afterwards so his tracks could be more widely heard.
