"E A S T" embossed around the center hole indicates it was pressed at Specialty Records Corporation. Note: the "T" is the most visible and sometimes the only really visible letter.
"SLM △" in the runout etching indicates that the lacquer disc was processed at, and the metal parts used to manufacture the record were made at Sheffield Lab Matrix.

On some variants 'bg' in runout matrix can be read as 'dg' upside down (e.g. variant 3). dg has been identified as David Gold (3)'s initials.

Recorded on the quiet side so you must crank the volume to allow the music to breathe and come alive. Nice balance and warm midrange, not too punchy on the low end. The EQ is very good.

Yes, this a a synth pop rock classic in all their forms. Neil chose wisely to experiment here and achieve a high grade outcome for an ''experimental'' synth rock classic. A great 'electronic/synth classic album under any definition. Good one Neil, you have made us all very happy 👍🏻

It must be said that Computer Age is a timeless classic.

One of the most underrated albums of all time IMO and one of the best NY albums. This is a masterclass on genre experimentation by an artist. Heavy on the electronics and experimentation but still very Neil-ey at the heart of every song.

I had the "Little Thing Called Love" 45 but played the b-side "We R In Control" until the grooves were white. It was so weird and robotic but still melodic.

My favorite Neil Young album. I guess that says more about me than it does about him. But seriously what is proves it that he can do anything he wants well. Nobody can touch what he decides to embark. I wish more people knew about this album.

Funky Neil Young LP with electronic instruments and vocoder on some tracks.
"Transformer Man", "Sample and hold", "Computer Age" are worth checking out, even if you are not a fan of his country rock stuff.
This LP is a different story, even though there are more traditional rock tracks here as well...
"Like An Inca" is not bad either.

A really wonderful album. I’ve got an old original pressing that I ended up with somehow and it just sounds perfect.

It's like if Kraftwerk had released a folk rock album, the exact same juxtaposition.

Funny to see so much hate for this release, how about appreciating the music and not the instruments used!
