Mr. Hermano burst onto the Latin house scene with O GLOBO, a gleeful poaching of South American rhythms with a dancefloor sensibility. Right off the bat, “Corcovado” brings on the batacuda drums and sunny disposition. If you’re in more of a mood to chill, “La Nina” blows through like a sweet breeze, and “Christina” is a string-laden serenade. “Tambora,” on the other hand, will have you on your feet with its percussion, and “Vasco de Gama” takes a traditional Brazilian chord progression and tarts it up with some flute bursts. It’s like going to South America from your armchair!
