- Another quintet of achingly lovely, love-lorn, drop-dead gorgeous guitar songs dripping with melancholy and sheer unabashed longing you will be hard-pressed to find. Simply exquisite. This was probably the Field Mice's creative apex [after the equally impeccable 6-track mini LP 'Skywriting' which preceded it] - and the glistening, crystal clear - and almost glacial - production does these five tracks complete justice. On a similar note, check out also [erstwhile Field Mice guitarist] Harvey Williams's solo single 'Rio'/'The Very Beginning' - released under the name Another Sunny Day also on Sarah Records. It shares the same production credits, and those two songs are just as essential, almost being a logical follow-on from these five.
