Agreed with many of the comments here. Almost as rich as my early '70s analog reissue, and almost as detailed. A great copy to play when you don't want to wear out your older pressings. No discernible pressing problems, and the cover looks great.

Listening to this version now. And I love it. Is it the best version? Probably not...but no the worst. A little tame on the top end but the bass is powerful. A mello pressing thats for sure. But I still love it. BTW if you want to hear the Beatles in hi-res (24/44.1)...this is where it resides. But better because its vinyl. So get it if you cannot get a older copy...I also have the 76 Capitol release in nm- and this one has its advantages and disadvantages...LOL. Since this review I now have the EAS Japanese version of this album. Even though that version is way better...I am still not changing my analysis. This is a great version...not the worst and not the best.

I’m only a casual Beatles fan and this was bought on impulse while in a record shop so this pressing is fine for me but I do agree with previous reviews about the volume level. I had to really give the volume knob a good few turns to get it to a decent listening level. Apart from that my copy was free of defects, clicks, pops etc and had a very low surface noise level.
I do imagine there’s better pressings out there if you’re a more hardcore fan looking for more of an audiophile experience.

Sounds alright for what it is. Great to see a black poly sleeve, and really beautiful sleeve. Thankfully I got a German pressing, but even at that I still prefer my pre-90s copies

See a few review like this- I think this is the copy I have but the Matrix is slightly different to whats posted on here. Is it worth adding?

I didn't get any noise issues or distortion on my copy but it does sound a bit compressed and a bit too bass-y. I only have the 1967-70 greatest hits on vinyl to compare a few songs to (I have remastered CD as well) but I agree with others that it's not a good mix. I don't understand why they cant just re-release the original stuff. It sounded fine!

Amazing record, just one complaint. The gaps in between songs on side one are barely noticeable or not noticeable at all. Anyone else have this problem?

A lot of buzzing, like the speakers were punctured with a screwdriver. The acoustic guitar on “Polythene Pam” is just a rattling sound with a very faint background of notes. This was after a pretty thorough cleaning. I won’t sell it because I don’t like ripping people off.

my pressing sounds great, it does have a few pops but it's alright.

I just received my copy of this remaster and the runouts do not match for anything listed on Discogs. Plus, my shrink rap as a “Made In Canada” sticker affixed to it.
