I'd always thought this record sounded a little dull and muffled, but just assumed that was how this album was meant to sound - seeing these reviews that compare it to other releases now makes me want to try to replace it with a better version...

I just wanted to add to the pile of bad reviews of this reissue. I did a comparison with my VG/G+ original pressing, and this reissue is a poor replication. Drums and backing arrangements are barely present. Overall flat sound and seems compressed. An original or even a later club reissue would be far better

One of the worse reissues ever: I am not kidding. Bought it recently as there seem to be plenty hanging around in record stores factory sealed. I won't add anything to the complaints below about sound, they are all correct. What I can add is that you can see a physical difference on this edition. The runout is quite wide. I have the 70's original and I could immediately notice it but after finally getting my copy from the USA version pressed at Pallas I confirmed it. They used very narrow grooves for this reissue and do it in a way that affected the sound quality. It literally sounds like a rip out of YouTube, this pressing should just be cancel and burned.

Not great sounding. Top end is soft, muffled and ill-defined. The Chain sounds good as always but try to get the US Pressed at pallas (it's on the hype sticker) pressing. This is the most common version. not great.

I have this version on clear wax. Looking forward to finding out how it sounds. Can't find this clear version on Discogs.

Avoid this and try to find US-pressing reissue. It has almost same sticker, but includes following text: Pressed at Pallas.
US-pressing is made by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman and it is AAA!

Picked this up in attempt to support my local record store during quarantine. Very mediocre. Everything just sounds flat. No depth to the music. It almost feels like some made a tape recording of a CD copy of Rumours. I wish I had looked for an original pressing or at least a better reissue.

Awful pressing. The sound is very muffled in parts and overall disappointing. Sending this one back.

My pressing seems to have lots of pops (very noticeable during Songbird) and overall sounds very muffled. A bit disappointing.

Having looked at some of the reviews for this version, I was wondering if I had selected the correct release for my collection.

I don't have any issues with this pressing but, on the other hand, I dont have access to an original to compare it to.

Overall though, its a clean pressing with no random noises at all, and the sound is very pleasing through my system with no need at all to make any adjustments to equalisation or tone (i.e. the amplifier is in its usual 'Direct' mode)

                      A pleasure to listen to.
