- Worth it for the Brook Mix alone. Like an out-take from the soundtrack to 'Dawn Of The Dead'. Brilliant! Actually saw GC live when they supported Sparks years ago. A truly beautiful, surreal experience. 76:14 remains a work of genius.
- This is a timeless classic. I bought this record because it was seriously interesting, but I was never really quite sure what to do with it, mixology-wise. It also came out a few months before I first discovered the internet, so when I bought it, I remember thinking the website address was just a bunch of fictional gibberish. Don't quote me on this, but this may very well be the first musical recording with a URL printed on the jacket.
- "Maiden Voyage" is an uncredited cover version (or reinterpretation) of Tangerine Dream's "Love on a Real Train" which appeared on their "best of" album "Dream Sequence". The track was originally written for the soundtrack to the cult 80's film "Risky Business" and provided a sublime backdrop to one of the more passionate sequences in the film.
Whilst "Maiden Voyage" is a nice attempt to re-create the haunting beauty of the original, it doesn't come close and Global Communication should be spanked for ripping off one of the all-time seminal electronic outfits - without which my life, and many others, would not have been the same.
