- Edited 9 months agoThe Paper Boy's mix is top shelf deep house, untouchable compared to all the other mixes. I first heard this track on the 'Deep Dish – DJs Take Control' comp. and instantly knew... legend status. Always puts a smile on my face.
It’s not a question of which one of us is right or wrong
As long as we’re together bad times won’t be bad for long
I’ll be your strength and your guide… to survive
But there’s a better way where you and I can make it
And no one’s ever ever ever gonna change it
All you gotta do is call my name and I’ll come running,… running, running, running baby
Reach out to me when you need someone to hold on to
I will always be by your side - I totally agree spaceface: The Paperboys (Si Brad, Elliot Eastwick & Miles Hollway) take a New York diva style vocal and make it soar with soul on a very stripped down, hypnotic house groove. Masterpiece, perfect for warm up sets and the sun coming up.
- Edited 10 years agoDeep house has always been one of those genres i've never really committed too. I do enjoy a good soulful house track, but i find as many tunes that bore me as those that move me (personal opinion, of course). The Paperboys Early Morning Vocal Delivery mix here however, is absolutely magnificent. Deep, deep, deep, and at 9 minutes long it's still too short. Surely this is Hard Times finest moment.
