Back when this came out, amazon Canada accidentally had this on pre order for $38 shipped to the US. I put it on my credit card and forgot about it. Now 9 years later the cheapest copy on Discogs is $272.37. Who wants to trade for an original Hut copy? Hah

Incredible album and really cool looking box set but unfortunately the sound quality itself is pretty bad. Sounds super distorted which is a shame because this album truly is a masterpiece

I must add here sadly that the 2012 pressings are flawed. Mine starts out with a blizzard of noise over the title track (side A track 1), which does clear up over the course of the over seven sides, although there are still places where the noise does occur during quieter passages. One of the sides has a pressing flaw (I'll update later) which while it plays through, because it looks as if some piece of junk was caught up in there, looks like it shouldn't ought to play at all, and I've wondered if playing it enough would eventually render it unplayable. I've been able to clean it up a bit with Groovewasher (not an endorsement, but I love that system), but I bought a second copy, the 2014 pressing, which, while still a bit flawed, is an improvement.
The best copy I own of MC&tIS is the Hut Records three disc version (although the songs are completely out of order), but it's too expensive to waste wearing it out on a 'table. I think I'll retire the other two and just archive them, since I also bought the deluxe cd edition, which to my ears, not as dynamic in range, sounds pretty Goddamned good to my ears. Even compared to a late-90s Japanese cd pressing I bought a decade ago, I'd say it's the best digital version you can own.

I just picked this up from an indie shop today for C$100 sealed. Don't pay those flipper prices, sounds like others are also finding it now too.

Would anyone be willing to swap me the minidisc version of this album for this 2012 repress?

Got this last week from Amazon. Cost me £116, but I am reasonably happy with that as P&P was free and it is harder to get in the UK than the US from what I have seen. Listening for the first time now and it is the best I have ever heard this album sound. Haven't picked up any of the distortion issues others have mentioned. The artwork is super impressive. Two large booklets included with the intricate inner sleeves, a sturdy outer box and 4 pieces of vinyl. I love this album and after 25 years of listening this is the best I have experienced it.

Is anyone else seeing store listing this as stocking soon (end of June, beginning of July)?

I've ordered one from woodwind & brasswind. They're quoting a July 1 Ship Date but I can't find any info out there about a repress happening. Woodwind & Brasswind isn't the only store that's listing it for sale for around the same time so maybe the news hasn't made it out there other than to distributors. I'm just curious if anyone has any information about this and if I should actually expect to receive my order or not lol. I've been looking for this album for a while now and I'm not interested in paying 200+ dollars for it. I'll happily pay the $100 for the 4xLP Deluxe Edition at retail price though.

I'm cautiously hopeful right now.
