Phenomyna, Paul W.Teebrooke, Stasis were all aliase for Steve Pickton who recorded many tracks for many labels from around 1993 to 1997 period. Steve Pickton would also record for his very own Otherworld Studio / Label which was an offshot of the classic Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART) label. Otherworld as a label released four 12" singles over a two year period.
Unexplained was recorded in 1994 for Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART) label and was released on CD only.
The album has a classic electronic cross over style of it`s very own, mixing IDM, Techno & Ambient together as characterized by a very dreamy, melodic style of Techno combining Detroit-influenced beat patterns. Some tracks are very laidback and in others that classic B12 electronica style is not too far away.
Various tracks were lifted from this album, remixed and issued as two sperate 12" singles ART 5.1 & ART 5.2 which are classic releases in-themselfs .
This excellent album has never been reissued to date (2010) and feel is long overdue for a quality remaster and reissue which could include the remixes from ART 5.1 & ART 5.2 as bonus tracks to complete what would be an excellent re-release package for the lovers of quality electronic soul also known as Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART).

A rare gem of Artificial Intelligence style IDM. Fans of Pickton's work as Stasis or the B12 guys will go ga-ga over this one.

Sadly out of print, like much of the best IDM of this period. Where are the enterprising chaps for reissues of the A.R.T. material (and B12 records, while I'm at it) on CDs that you can get for under $100?
