Reviews
- This is the greatest album she ever did. I wish she was more active in the 1990s because ivory and Passion Play have some of her greatest work. I’m blessed to have most of the tracks on black rain but I’m looking for the rest. If passion play was released with a bigger label and more singles and promo it would be one of her best sellers. Singles should have been hypnotized, climb the walls double a side with breakfast in bed , sweet on you , smooth tip, wild horses. Remixes should have been r&b slow jam and new jack swing types and house mixes with the biggest names at the time like defmix, junior vasquez, Rauhofer, Danny tenaglia… etc. I have a whole campaign in mind for this masterpiece. I hope her estate will at least make this available on Spotify soon. Local files doesn’t do the trick when I want to share these amazing songs!!
- I absolutely adore Teena Marie (especially this album) but why does she insist on putting “written, produced and arranged by Teena Marie” in her albums when she usually has co-writers/arrangers/producers?
