- Spent a few bucks more for the grail of cheap AAA records. Instead of keeping my “Made in Germany” 2012 pressing, I wanted the full presentation, so I bought the 2012 USA pressing. Beautiful sturdy tip-on jacket with a rounded spine and a nice slick. Terrible RTI inner, but it does the job until you can upgrade. Just put a MOFI sleeve for my copy, the mastering is incredible. Dynamic and real! Unpolished plates used by RTI. Especially those drums. If you had the choice to pick this repressing up, get the US version. Both are Chris Bellman cuts but one is of higher quality
- I cannot say enough good things about this pressing. I’ve never owned a MOFI so I cannot compare, but this pressing has given me no desire to seek out other pressings. This is the ultimate version of Forever Changes that I have heard and it isn’t even close. All analog from what I can tell and this master is punchy, clear, and dynamic. Absolutely blown away. Surprised this isn’t up there in price with the MOFI release. Truly a bargain for the quality of sound you’ll experience.
- I’m late to the party with this little gem. Great pressing, though the lack of liner notes is very disappointing, given the album’s legacy.
- Of course this album is a classic but man, this pressing is absolutely stunning. It is without a doubt one of the highest quality reissues in my collection. Highly recommended!
- Does anyone know if there were later US releases that were pressed at Optimal? I have this release, but there is no RTI silver sticker on the front. There is the Rhino label on the front with the R1-74013 code not the 081227971151 code as with the EU Optimal press.
The 2012 press of Television's Marquee Moon has later presses that came without the silver RTI sticker but still with the R1 code on the label but the runout info 'BC' tells you it was pressed at Optimal and not RTI.
