Reviews
- This album was first released as an unauthorized import albeit on authorized labels. The Holland subsidiary got tired of waiting for the album to be completed, and having copies of the working master tapes they hired their own musicians for the job. It was in stores before the band found out, at which they raised Cain and distribution was halted. Here are some examples but I cannot guarantee this is complete:
Magazine - original release unathorized by the band - Mushroom - 1977 - #MRS-5008
Magazine - original release unauthorized by the band - Mushroom - 1977 - Inner groove inscription At Last on side 2.
#MRS-5008
Magazine - Holland Import (unathorized release) - Arista - 1977 - #SPARTY 1024 - I found the whole album to be composed of mediocre songs. None jumped out at me as being something I'd ever want to listen to again. The musicians themselves are good, but the songs all sound like 'filler' songs to me. Mother Earth Blues is a bit better than the rest, but could still be kicked up another five notches for my taste, but nothing that I'd find myself singing to myself during the day. I have a feeling that these songs come across much better live as I always think of Heart as more of an audience pleaser than a studio band.
