- Came to the realization recently while digging, and organizing to sell, labels and artists such as these were rocking Minimal Deep Tech years before it even became a genre. Of late, people have slapped a name and some loose rules on it, but if you like Techno, Future Jazz, or House, you are set with this EP.
- Boom Boom Taxi is pure bliss. It features a trumpet, which is kind of down in the mix, so as not to dominate, but ist just hangs there popping up in a couple of phrases and then fades away. Meanwhile, the beat is a tribal rhythm which also flanges in and out, dancing with that trumpet. It is gold and the best track on the EP.
TriniDub sees the trumpet return with more presence, and nice use of the mute. Rolling drums and walking bass deliver a nice tune overall.
Trinity is a slightly more generic house tune, with some interesting echoey percussion sounds and drum fills.
All in all, this is a great EP, and one which is not too expensive just yet. Well worth a few bucks, if you can still find a copy.
