my version the label is a white background with black and red text. Not sure what one it is. EMC 3223 Remember Yourself EMI
My copy has YAX 5389-2 DRG REMBER YOURSELF on side A and YAX 5390-3 on side B. It still has the original white inner sleeve, which has “7/78” at the bottom, seemingly suggesting that’s when it was pressed

I believe mine is an early 1978 UK copy, can anyone confirm?

Ok nobody speaks for the sound quality and i will do by myself.
This original vinyl it sound very poor. The mastering was very weak and the music barely comes out from your speakers. Very weak instruments that tickles your ears.
Compared with the 2018 remastered vinyl, it sound much more weaker. So better get the decent remastered of 2018. This original vinyl is a collective material in my opinion

I have a (UK?) version of this that has a tan label and is a 1978 pressing but the EMI logo is small and boxed and appears at the bottom of the label on both sides. The pictures I've seen on Discogs feature the words EMI in red on their side dominating the left side of the label. Is my version even a UK release?
The absolute best Kate Bush lp. I bought my copy in 1978 and nearly 40 years on I still listen to it. As a collection of songs this fits very well together. All the tracks contribute something worthwhile. Kate Bush is without doubt the most original British singer song writer to grace these shores.

Quote - 'Other (Sleeve rear, printer's code): 7802'
This is the EMI's uniform coding for first date of printing of an album, and stays as so on subsequent pressings. It is not a way to identify the actual pressing date. EMI's white the Inner Sleeve (usually) states the date of the pressing.
The majority of Decca also, spanning circa 1968 ~ early 1980's.

The UK album was available on catalogue for over 10 years from release. EMI's Mother Stamping code was still in use in the late 70's so the very first pressings can easily be identified by this. But for most issues, one can determine the
year it was pressed by reading the code date on EMI's inner sleeve, assuming has not been discarded.. It is that easy; one does not have to be 'an expert'!
