Artie Shaw does NOT play clarinet on this recording. His parts from the original arrangements are played by clarinetist Walter Levinsky. Shaw DID, however, produce the album and provide his original arrangements used on the old 78 rpm releases. The sound on this album is in vibrant stereo (on ST 2992, but not on T 2992, which are mono pressings) and worth the investment if you're an Artie Shaw fan.
