Reviews
- Excellent sound quality! Not digital or flat, but warm, clear and full range sound. Aside from the hit 'Holding Back..', the rest of the album is also quite enjoyable and has great tunes.
- 2020 remaster: good sound quality without clicks and pops. nice bass, nice highs and clear sound, high quality pressing. but I don't think this pressing sounds dull or lifeless. It is a good sounding and cheap pressing.
The rating of "geofpiano" is absolutely correct, I bought this pressing and this pressing is much better with more punch in the bass and treble.
I found another remastered pressing from 1992 (mastered by Bernie Grundman) and I think this pressing sounds even better and has more punch and detail in all areas than the originals.
https://www.discogs.com/de/release/3505869-Simply-Red-Picture-Book - I’ve just bought the 2020 remaster of this album, and - in comparison to THIS pressing - it’s awful… dull and lifeless. Avoid the 2020 at all costs and get the best possible copy of this one. It truly is far superior
- Yep I agree with @Ajmoore2201this is one of the best masterings I have heard. I didn't realise it sounded this good till I upgraded my system
- Got this variant 1. Needs a intensive wet clean tomorrow then we'll have a proper listen and see if what you guys are saying is true then hey ??
