amazing to think how this record served as the gateway to another incredible decade with ylt. just when you started to fear they had lost their fastball...

This appears to by my version (matrix numbers match this version with the 7") but I do not see any numbering system indicating it is a numbered release. Anyone know where I can find the numbers, or is it possible these matrix numbers were used at one point for the "non-numbered" deluxe edition?

Yo La Tengo has been a staple in the indie music community since forming in New Jersey in the late 80s. That sign of longevity shows that fans have not become bored with them yet. “Fade,” the band's latest album, is a fantastic addition to their already impressive discography.
Opening with the bewitching six-minute opener Ohm, Yo La Tengo, dip their toes in shoegaze. Standouts like Well You Better and Stupid Things begin with jarring guitars and fall into a soothing dream. Few bands can deliver that fading theme as well as these seasoned musicians. Several of their songs, without fail, showcase the soft yet uplifting quality of the guitar.
All 10 tracks are consistently good. The effortless low-key sound can only come from disciplined people as these. Guitarist and piano player Ira Kaplan and his wife, drummer and vocalist Georgia Hubley, are supported with bassist James McNew to create the ultimate indie rock album..
Cornelia and Jane and Before We Run , some of the tracks where Hubley takes the lead are at times the most haunting. Her restful vocals guide the wandering guitar. Even at its most frantic parts, you will begin to fade into it.

As one of the year's earliest releases, it sets the tone for what will be a grand year for music.
