Brilliant weekend house music on both sides. Kenny's remix has a really nice disco funk beatswitch that reminds me of some early Timbaland projects circa 1998. Carl's mix has nice violin stabs in the first half and then the time signature completely changes when he does his version of the beatswitch. I'm not a music expert but I think the track goes into a 5/4 or 6/4 time signature. Its a very obtuse and hectic drum n bass rhythm that's hard to predict, but it does repeat. If anyone can shed some light on what carl's mix does during the drummy section please reply I'm all ears :)

still can't get over carl craig's mix, C2 in full effect. when that 2nd beat comes in at the halfway mark, it explodes with an intense funk that only brother carl can deliver. chunky hip hop mentalities, and i mean chunk then cutting back to the original swinging beat with keys breaking out of the original theme into a freestyle affair. i'm a massive fan of the orignal version on the LP "Programmed" but for me, the vocals don't even matter in Carl Craig's version, as he does so well with the melodies and groove that he adds... truly amazing. big ups goes to kenny for his remix as well, one of my fave KDJ cuts, especially when halfway it cuts from a slower chugging beat to a more up tempo disco-esque groove... nice wun

These days, genuine underground artists know how to make works of art - and this kenny dixon junior remix is true funk/jazz /dertoit/soul excellence - check it.
