- So for anyone not aware, the track is just Firestarter remodelled. Liam said in an interview about this song that the label forced him to produce a single and he wasn't into doing so and instead just handed them a remix of Firestarter with a new name on it. The record company pushed it out and it was a hit.
I like the video for this a lot, totally daft fun. - Dub version WTF ???? Liam's worst mix...but the original and the video are not so bad ... Luckily it's not on the album and the next album turned out to be quite good, so they continued nasty and wild. But this is the singl I spent the most money on CD separately DVD separately ... but fuck it's my favorite band so I have to have everything
- all the people slaggin this track off are clearly the sing along fans, they probably only got into the prodigy cos of keiths lyrics on firestarter, which is sad, as liam has produced some right belters
- The Label: "Been awhile since Baby's Got a Temper was printed. Maybe it's time for a repress?"
The fanbase: "Nah we're good." - The machine on the cover artwork is a luaghing policeman/sailor! A person puts a penny in the slot and he starts laughing madly and jiggles about!
- A truly awful single. I remember buying the CD on release date, without having heard it first (those were the days!), and wondering what kind of band I considered myself a fan of. The lyrics are some of the most reprehensible words you could put to music (which was also lumpen, stodgy and without any kind of hook, so even the instrumental version isn't any good).
For all its flaws, in hindsight it was a relief Liam had a serious rethink before 'Always Outnumbered' came along. It was still a bit disappointing (though better than 'Invaders' and 'Enemy', for me) but at least didn't follow the path from this exercise in bad taste. - One of their best tracks from the years 2000 (with 'Girls') in my opinion, some big basslines and drums here. Would love to here this one played live!
