Hate to be that guy, but this original issue blows away the modern reissues of this. I've had a bunch of problems with the reissues having bad sides, or sounding muffled and muddy. This original press is pristine and sounds really great.

I need a cover for this. Have the records but no sleeve. Anyone have a cover they want to sell ?

I bought this on day of release and it’s one of my favorites. The funk influence makes this record groove. BTW, my copy has a 7” EP as well. Anybody else have that included?

In part I bought this double lp based on the fact they did (if memory serves) a 0:38 version of Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love... I mean really, if you could boil down 80's hard rock in a nutshell (mid stream a-la 1984) this concisely...then I had to know. The whole record didn't disappoint even for a second. I feel truly lucky to have "come of age" at this time. Minutemen were and are an inspiration to me.

On a vinyl note, the fact that my copy was pressed somewhat askew on one side (it became noticeable at the end of that side by being a bit "pitch shifty") really made me cherish my copy more. It was a bit more personal. Vive D. Boon.

The 'Trout Mask Replica' of the eighties.
Also love the obvious reference to Kraftwerk's Autobahn back sleeve.

The first press sounds ridiculously good. Can really recommend going for this press!

Is SST repressing this? What’s going on? Have they lost the rights?

is there any way to tell an original press from a reissue if it's sealed? i have an early sealed pressing, but am struggling to determine if it's a true first press.....any help?

Their absolute masterpiece! I was only 8 in the summer of 1984, so I was too young to actually feel SST's high flying summer, but I discovered it ten years after. And is still one of my favourite punkrock albums.

Do all copies have the misprint of "THE WORLD ACCORDING TO NOUNDS" on the back cover?
