- This track was a grower for me as I've slowly gotten more into the psychedelic, tribal end of Progressive House as time has gone on. The fact this came out in '93 is quite impressive.. it is both very ahead of it's time and very much a perfect encapsulation of it's time, in that it really set the standard for what was to come. The "Submerged" mix is beautiful -- delicate and restrained in all the right places.
- Edited one year agoIt’s all about the submerged mix for me. Only just come across it. Obvs know the orig/ northern exposure etc… Scott Hardkiss - what a producer! Love the sound of all his stuff. That west coast vibe, it’s amazing. Cheers Scott - I have a nice TP of acid funk. Love it 😊
If anyone fancies sending me an MP3 of any of his early mixes listed on this site - they sound amazing - psychedelic west coast funk sounds lol - RIP Scott. Was so sad to hear that you had passed so young. I knew you in San Francisco in the early 90's, but I really never did know you. This song gives me a little more understanding of your essence. Beautiful song.
- I was wondering where I heard the vocal before and its a straight rip from Dear Boy – GreyClouds from 1992
- Although I can identify this as an anthem, this style of electronic music was not my 'cup of tea'. However, I kept this solely based on the cover. This has got to be one of the best covers ever!
- its sad the Scott Hardkiss died may he R.I.P. he was one of the best djs / producers there was . this record is a perfect classic example .
- And as the notes above Raincry gets the chanting vocal from Hans Zimmer - The rainmaker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFp_puk7cRs
