After seeing Factory Floor support Mark Stewart in London I tracked down some of their releases and headed straight for this 12”. It’s great buying obscure vinyl these days because you end up finding material like this. Great minimalist sequences with live drumming and Nik Voids pitch shifted vocal – all very interesting.- Brilliant new release building on the sequencer loops heard with 16-16-9, Factory Floor however should have taken further que from their mentor and fan Stephen Morris by including an equally brilliant B-side. But unlike Factory, DFA would actually like to turn a profit on each release rather than waste two killer cuts. Can't blame them, or possibly this is all FF has for the moment. Still, in my opinion, their most fully realized track.
