This is the ultimate pressing to own for 2 reasons. 1. The pressing sounds absolutely fantastic and was mastered by none other than George Piros who really did a great job here!! 2. This is the original USA press which means the collectibility factor is a 10 out of 10! If you collect records or are a fan of this genre or both then you owe it to yourself to spend the $$ on this press.

If you search for the source of the cult, unconventional undeground, search no further. A highly original album, influencing monsters like The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Joy Division. This is where Elvis Presley meets Throbbing Gristle, proto-punk, proto-industrial boot-faced shock'n'roll.

as sound breaking as ground breaking ...we want to find records like this everyday (could be an electronic joy division ..?)

widely hated by audiences in their time, this such a wild and experimental album. with its Elvis on speed obsessed vocals by Vega and arrhythmia ridden repeating beats by Rev, it sometimes sounds like a mind close to having a breakdown. but then you see all the bands that came soon after with the music this album pioneered with its part ways new wave, industrial, and rock n roll sound. from the overly romantic Cheree, the dark anti tribute of Che and the outright terrifying Frankie teardrop, every track oozes that New York sleaze and coolness that soon exploded when Punk happened.

chainfire. Plain white paper inner sleeve, I confirm. Bought my copy beginning of 78.

                  Best album of 1977,
even better than "Never Mind The Bollocks"
"Frankie Teardrop" is a horror film on vinyl
The album is so very American, but it's the
                  David Lynch USA, bizarre 50's.

Does anyone know what the inner sleeve looks like for this release? Trying to verify a complete copy of this. Mine has plain white paper sleeve. But doesn't feel right to me. Anyone?

The missing link !...between elvis presley & techno. First and unique electronic rock'n'roll record !...This essential bridge to modernity will always have 30 years ahead !! And they started in 1971, genius tramps ! First and real punks !
