Kenny's track 'Transit' does just that. A nice percussion led syncopated loop with some vocal snips and key stabs. It starts progressing nicely though into more disco led territory - a bit like an old DJ Sneak number while the original feel comes back and forth into the song. Theo Parrish's "Blue Out' has a late night vibe to it; deep and minimal key structures and some disco type guitar riffs with a punchy rhodes type sound that seems to lead the whole track. Sounds as though it was made on an MPC or SP1200 - killa! Rick Whilite's is a strange but enticing affair. A weird beatdown number with repetitive claps as though from some congregation and a minimal flute sample. What pulls you in though are the bass and drums - seriously heavy given the right sound system. If you like your house rough, rugged and raw this is a must!
