I find it a little bit of funny, that I discovered this track almost 7 years later it was released :) I truly must be living in a cave. I found it through a techno meme (the meme where someone asks for a request, but the DJ pushes play button for this track), and because of that I thought the track must be truly horrible, but everytime I listen to it, I'm blown away

Still, what an absolute banger, so powerful. My copy has a vinyl label of Jeff Buckleys Grace instead of the Poly Kicks diamond on it - all the time I thought this was some kind of joke. :-)

I don't think this has ever left my bag. A classic from the moment it got released.

Hackey Parrot is probably one of the greatest pieces of Dance Music made in the past few years - It's just a simply beautiful piece of Electronic Breakbeat Jungle Madness. Work me with Tempta-ta-ta-tation!

09/10. Been through the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's & can confirm that this man knows how to break, and Its fun. As for comments stating 'Trap' as an influence, I'd say 'Hackney Parrot' is a straight homage to the hardcore/breakbeat days of which Hackney was a major player, thanks to the likes of DJ Hype, Shut Up & Dance etc. 'Helter Skelter' features hardcore samples, & was also the name of a rave we frequented back in the early Hardcore days. Fairly obvious really.

people who say this is unique clearly missed out on Zomby's trap/hardcore crossovers. Typical shit. Tune of a time. Not great but served its purpose well

Old sounds, new production. This is innovation?
