Reviews
- Edited one year agoUnheralded and yet uniquely understated, Alan Shorter was a better player than most people know, if they know of him at all. "Orgasm" is an incredible record that combines the sublime and the absurd to powerful effect.
- Rating this as a '1' is just dumb. Maybe the person doesn't like the music, which is fine, or understand it, in which case they should not be rating. Orgasm is an underground classic. It likely doesn't rank at the top of the free jazz tree, but it is a great record that has stood the test of time. Shorter is a fine player, and the two rhythm sections are stellar. I would agree that this is not for everybody, but just because someone was expecting Juju or Speak No Evil because of the family name isn't a reason to knock it. Alan Shorter was his own man.
- Ok, i understand if someone rates it with 4*. But two people rated it with 3* and one with 1* .Really, 1*. And my question is, why guys?//
