Lord have mercy! This album is so astoundingly great. It's like the culmination of all the coolest elements from every era of rock n roll and every album and 7"-45 ever released stitched together in the coolest sweater and jeans and sunshine through the palm trees if palm trees grew on the Brooklyn Bridge. Or something. The three geniuses of Yo La Tengo have achieved the impossible here - paying homage to the highlights of their Smithsonian-like record collections while simultaneously presenting something completely unique and welcoming and charming and jarring and exploratory and immediately familiar.
Best-Album-Ever.

It goes largely unrecognized that "Spec Bebop" is built around a loop of the Stones' "Yesterday's Papers"

I know it's the original pressing, but does anyone have any comments on how it sounds compared to the other pressings?
