Wer auf full on psy steht - unbedingt zulegen :D

This was the first Rinkadink album I heard. It is still the full-on psychedelic trance album that I like most!
Even when compared with Rabbit From Darkside I actually like this album better, because for me his first album is a bit too crazy; it's too full of that crazy psychedelia to my taste...
This album is well balanced and powerful. Great to play at high volume!

Interesting how this album has gotten far less appraisal than Rinkadink's former album, the smashing debut Rabbit from Darkside. As a result, I had lots of reservatations before ordering Pirate Signal. But I can fairly say I needn't have worried!
Who knows what it is Jaarsveld does so well? He's still blasting full on as if he had a plane to catch. His bass lines are as massive as ever and his tracks still packed with sections getting you up, down, and out. And with the crazy samples to fuck up your mind the last bit and supply the Rinkadink characteristica. It leaves me as run over as ever.
In all honesty, it may not have the same element of surprise Darkside provided, but who cares when it's still this interesting?! Either Rinkadink's a very intelligent musician doing what he likes or he's a psytrician that struck gold. In any case, if you liked Rabbit from Darkside, don't kid yourself out on this one. The negative reviewers got it all wrong ;o) !
