The sound quality on this release/pressing is excellent. I own a 1st press mono of the banana LP and this one competes, and at times even exceeds that proverbial holy grail.

Both European Son & All Tomorrow’s Parties are clearer and crispier than the murky original which is all the more surprising as these were demos. The quality on the other tracks are similarly clean, dynamic and possess a traditional analog sound. Only on some tracks where some damage to the acetate is noticeable do we notice a small touch of digital manipulation though it is nothing egregious.

For cranky audiophiles who bemoan the lack of decent audio in this much-hyped and phoney “vinyl revival” era, here’s one that will enchant rather than disappoint.

I have a different matrix:
Matrix / Runout (Side A): B0017649-01-A G-2 RA BD06850-01 A1
Matrix / Runout (Side B): B0017649-01-B G-2 RA BD06850-01 B1

Are your matrices correct?

In addition the sleeve and the label seem to give 0602537178407 as the catalogue number.
