The French will hype any old rubbish as long as it's from Gaul but nah, Guillaume tries to copy Acardipane here in a very clumsy manner and just ends up with a messy and unrealized record that is kinda cheesy. It isn't terrible, but it's a hard pass from me. He had more success with the Dark Forces record on Dance Ecstasy where at least he got to actually rub shoulders with the man himself while attempting this sound. And it shows. That's actually a good record. This really isn't.
Guillaume Leroux reveals a French electronic scene teeming with talent and inventiveness, without any complex facing our neighboring countries. Very good sound ! "Friends Or Foe?" and "The Weeping Waste", 2 absolutely incredible acid-trance / hardtrance singles, and played by the greatest djs of the time.

"The weeping waste" is in my Top 5 Trance with tracks like "Blue Planet Corporation - Midian", "Scan X - Aum", "Marc et Claude - 2 petites différences" and "Silicium - Spirit of Ankh"................1993-1994!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. Does't get much bigger than this one. Clearly stood out for me in the early 90s as a favorite. Kicks like a ten ton mule on acid, as an old friend used to say. One of those tunes that could unite a room of thousands. Brought everyone to attention and all hands in the air. The bassline is just ferocious and breakdown rattled your guts. Hell yeah.
