Edited one year agoI agree that it would be great to have this released on vinyl. I have a large amount of the releases on vinyl that this set is comprised of and I’d still shell out for this as a box, even though it would probably be something comparatively prohibitively expensive like an 6-8LP set, or whatever it would wind up needing to be. I’ve always found it curious that the Flourescences EP never made it onto a Switched On. I assume it’s because they wanted to keep it exclusive to this compilation, as far as releases compiling their work go.- We need this material remastered on vinyl. Might be expensive, but I’d buy it over another switched on. The last 2 had their moments, but weren’t cohesive at all & contained some barrel-scraping, if I’m being honest. These EP tracks really should’ve been on the appropriate album reissues, especially Sound Dust, there was plenty of room.
- "The Noise Of Carpet (US Single)" sems to be identical to the album version
Edited 4 years agoIt's odd that this was never released on vinyl. Hopefully these tracks will reappear on the next Switched On. Martin Pike said there would be news of vol 4 and 5 this year.- I sold all my Stereolab albums a while back,what an idiot!
This comp is an excellent starting point,songs are thrown together from different albums,eps,years and it works.
Now begins my quest to get all those albums back.
