Trivia. Bought this as soon as it hit the shops. The original orange palm tree labeled vinyl came in a generic white inner sleeve. The company inner shown above showcases late 1977 albums (Burning Spear Live, Ultravox 2nd LP) and is thus a later variant.

The orange palm tree label was replaced during Summer 1978 by the blue Island labels (first spotted on the IJahMan debut which also was a first including EMI credits on the cover back)

Despite Bunny claiming to have wrote all the songs on this LP. The most famous is actually a cover. This is the original: https://youtu.be/l6S_e7r91hk.

Wow. I spent almost 45 years of my life until I picked up a copy of this record from Robert @ Zen records in Tottenham and listened to it first. I must have been living under a rock my entire life as this record is as old as me. Absolutely stunning.

Blackheart Man, is without doubt one of the finest albums of any genre ever made, vocally, lyrically and musically superb, even the album cover/artwork is excellent. Neville O’Riley Livingston PKA Bunny Wailer, was a mystical singer, writer, musician and live performer of the highest calibre. If you have not already done so, take the time to listen to his body of work, first with The Wailers and then as Bunny Wailer.

            Hi,
This refers to the Music On Vinyl re issue
I was interested in this so emailed MOV who said they recieved and used a 24/96 file. I think it's from the digital remaster that first came out on the Island Def Jam Chronicles CD re issue which sounds awful, I listened to some samples of the MOV and it sounds equally awfull, drowned in hiss and overly bright.
If you cant find a decent condition original I would recommend the first CD edition from the Reggae Refreshers series, it's a straight to digital flat transfer AAD that hasn't been messed with (remastered) and inexpensive.

Bunny Wailer's Blackheart Man is one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion. I mean, you can compare it to Bob Marley Legend, but that's a compilation! Compare Balckheart Man to any Bob Marley non-greatest hits album, and tell me this one doesn't hold its own.

This has to be one of the best albums of all time. Each instrument is so present, given space, so expressive. Bunny Wailer's message in each of these songs is vital. And his voice... Incredible.
