Notes

There were two editions of the black vinyl release: one with a pinkish label and another with a light orange label. This was due to an artwork error which caused the first pressing to come out pink rather than the intended orange.
This is the light orange label version.

A record pure full of emotions, with flair of Detroit !

One of my absolute favourite techno records, this is mesmerizing neo-Detroit abstraction from the B12 boys. The chords and synths are indeed lush and awash with that retro-futurist utopian vibe characteristic of so much early British "intelligent techno", but the real genius of the track lies in the complex, fluttering rhythm that runs through the middle, characterised by its restless chattering snare loop. It's only after nearly four minutes of progressive percussive hypnosis as the track develops that a conventional kick and bassline enter the mix to root the track on the dancefloor. Outerim is a shorter reprise of the same track stripped of the dancefloor thump, giving you another three minutes to marvel at the percussion programming.

Only bought this record as its worth a bit. I was going to sell it on but what a mistake that would have been. Interim is one of the most beautiful pieces of music i have ever heard. It is a very misleading track also. It begins with a real lush chords and scat like beats, then the lead parts enter and create a very emotive soundscape. Creating a beautiful electronica tune. This continues throughout the song, then, halfway in the beats are added to create a track thats just perfect for the dancefloor. A amazing set opener in my opinion.
