spoke to someone recently and he said there is no point paying $$$$ for an LP copy regardless if it has CHAB if you're home in the deadwax or not. the original master was 88k high res digital. i think its downloadable from high res digital music sites. im sure LP owners will disagree with me. i say if you have a decent DAC in your setup, its best to go for the 88k files. this is from SH forums: "Yes, the mother of all masters is the HD version on Qobuz and HDTracks. From that one they made "re-masters" for cd, itunes and vinyl each with slight specific changes for their target medium/audience.Bob Ludwig did a digital pre-master of the analog recording tapes (Ampex) in the US because they couldn't take analogue tapes through airport scanners or something. They took the digital pre-master from Ludwig then to Chab in France who mastered together with Thomas Bangalter the 88.2 HD version and from those they made adaptions for vinyl, cd and itunes."
Can someone elaborate which variant is actually the very valuable (asset/market eval wise) one? I have two different ones and have seen people listing it for $400 occasionally
One of my favorite records of all time. Stoked to get a great pressing from Amazon that was a 2013 surprise. It has If love is the answer you’re home” etched in the runout groove of side 4 :)

Soy incapaz de saber si mi copia es de 2013 o de 2021. Lo que si que es una maravilla. Un doble LP sin defectos, cosa que no puedo afirmar de todos los que estoy comprando. Artísticamente y en lo técnico casi perfecto. Me suscribo
Have attempted to purchase this pressing twice, first was a scammer and his account was removed, second sent the 2021 repress. Is the Chab version worth the continued frustration hunting down?

For us 90's kids, there's only 1 Daft Punk LP... Bangalter knew his way around drum machines like the 303 like a wizard; the slick 'Cerrone' like production that followed on LP's like 'Discovery' & 'Random Access Memories' is extremely well done, & with a hint of DP's greatness intertwined, but, there's not a dot of the anarchic, insanely technical, mind blowing, multi- genre hopping, intensive musically educated genius & reference points of 'Homework'. It was a landmark album crossing into every DJ's set of the era, perhaps the greatest wonky electronic pop LP of all time. It's personality, balls & originality was never bettered. Following LP's like 'RAM' focus on just the disco element, a more commercially viable product, but for me (and allow my honesty please), absolutely flat in comparison.

I bet a lot of people get the repress, not the 2013 version. All these mint 2013 versions on offer doesn't sound correct to me. A lot of people will have the nearly identical 2021 version.
At first I was put off by the overwhelming bass, but after listening to the whole thing I got used to it and the impression is very good. I’m not a great fan of Daft Punk, but this vinyl sounds great to me.
