- One of my favorite e.ps, Search Your Feelings and Red Atmospheres are ridiculously good, soulfull techno house bangers. no one does them squelchy acid lines with more soul then the UR boys.
But a real shame the pressing sounds a lil shite, a bit flat and muddy...maybe its by design, a lo-fi thing. as have noticed it a lot with the UR records, but suspect its more of a pressing plant issue, still it wont leave my collection, even if there was a cleaner repress. - Edited 3 years agoMy copy has odd circular indentations on the vinyl (like someone has been stabbing it with a biro)... I've not noticed this before and it doesn't seem to affect play, but I'm wondering if this is some sort of wierd vinyl aging issue (not that I've ever seen it on any other vinyl)... does anyone else have this?
- Red Atmospheres is a record like no other. Nothing else sounds like this track anywhere in the electronic world.
- Edited 5 years agoJourney To The Martian Polar Cap is like a continuation of the other masterpiece The Final Frontier (Think synth!) and Visual Contact just takes you further into unchartered terra incognitas! And Ultraviolet Images. Then Cosmic Movement and
Star Dancer comes along ! And it's further out even still... Fast foward and then rewind. And then come back into further stuff. Blimey! - Robotic dance activated DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE
This happens to your body when you listen to these pieces of tracks - "Search Your Feelings", co-produced by Juan Atkins, one of my absolute favorite techno tracks. Masterpiece.
- My personal fav of all the red planets.
Sit back fire up your merkaba and take a Journey To The Martian Polar Caps.
