- You know the work of the American painter Rothko? He painted only what colored surfaces, at first glance, nothing special. But go for it and shows such a painting good on you. Then comes the enchantment. There is a depth that there did not seemed to be. You can completely disappear, as it were. With the music of Camera Obscura is exactly so. The band name is well chosen. You can immerse yourself in the music. At first hearing, but the power is simple, as with Rothko, in the layers. There are dozens. Small guitar tunes, tiny percussion instruments, diffident ironing packages, sophisticated keyboards, layer upon layer upon layer. The topping is the voice of singer and songwriter, Tracyanne Campbell, according to fans the most talented songwriter from the United Kingdom. Desire Lines embroiders fully on the work that we've been years of Camera Obscura. And that's fine.
