- I was worried this was a bad pressing after I had the same problem as another user (distortion/sibilance), turns out this record made me discover I had a worn out cartridge/needle.
I'm glad to own this release, it's really great. - I will comment on the 2013 LP since the passing of Sean has me listening.
The copy I have is signed and the album is amazing.
The sound in general to me is very pleasing. I did notice a little sibilance but not very much.
I do have an original 1993 cd and the individual instruments stand out more on this LP.
The remaster may be cut slightly in the hot side but overall I am pleased. - If you are fan of cynic and death metal in general this release is one of the greatest represses out there... listened so many represses on high end system and this sound like a charm !
Its properly mastered(for vinyl), you can hear every instrument and it doesnt sound generic or bad(sound from basement i call that :) ) so fell free to grab this one !
Absolutely brilliant ! - Edited 8 years agoI tried to understand this album, many times in the past. Said nothing to me...I prefer Gorguts, Atheist or Morbid Angel..
- This pressing sounded awful, sold it right after buying it in 2013. Since this was supposedly mastered from the original tapes, the tapes are either almost completely damaged or the vinyl cut was done by an amateur. I had two copies, both sounded the same - very distorted, even the mp3 is 100x times better. I have a decent soundsystem (turntable).
- 100 copies were signed by both Paul and Sean. I bought mine off the band at a concert in Toronto. It is a test pressing, too
