Edited 2 years agoI do good remember the day I bought this record at HARD WAX Berlin back in the days. I put the needle into the groove and when it startet I rapidly smiled all over my face. Freakin' starts so ... fresh, heavy and happy, It is so over the top Disco House, that you think "Honestly ...???" - It's a BOMB !!! Soul Train reminds me of Paul Johnson - It's a love thang ( https://www.discogs.com/Paul-Johnson-Its-A-Boogie-Thang/release/37286 ) ... Love those train samples and groovy house sounds. All 4 tracks are great.- Solid record, there's a reason why Discogs keeps suggesting you this one.
Edited 10 years ago3rd Movement's a banger! Re Soul Train, the train sounds were featured in lots of early house DJ sets...Ron Hardy in particular...comes from sample in Thrust's "Can't Wait to Get to You", which Groovestyle also sampled.- top of the bill: love it...
If all else fails, bang on soul train - still a guaranteed party starter.
