During the late seventies and early eighties, Burning Sounds issued some if the finest Reggae sounds around, gaining a reputation of quality unmatched by many of its rival labels in the UK.
Among the most popular of its album releases were the "Burning Up" collections, which culled the best of Burning Sounds single releases, in much the same vein as Trojan's "Tighten Up" series from an earlier age.
Now, the Burning Sounds label has been reactivated and we are pleased to provide the opportunity for Reggae fans everywhere to rediscover some of the classic sounds from the label's catalogue. This resissue, which features some of the most popular recordings of the period from a host of Reggae greats, illustrates just what made Burning Sounds so special. Listen and enjoy!
